July 3/4 - and next POP Mtg

Hey Folks - Just a reminder about the July 3rd and 4th events - also, the next POP meeting is July 18th 6pm at The Riv again. -- We're gonna do the July 4th Parade and we need people to show up! This will be a Democratic Party float in the Independence Day parade to support all of our Democratic candidates this year: Solea, Darcy, and Jamie. First of all we need folks to come out the night before to prepare the decorations for the float - a car with a trailer. We're doing this at Debi's house, 900 18th St, just off Mt Hood St. at 6:30pm the evening of July 3rd, should be a fun evening.

Next POP Mtg: Wed. June 13 6pm

The next POP meeting is at The Riv (10th and Federal) at 6pm on Wednesday, June 13. This is our first meeting after the primary election and we are going into the main effort to repeal and replace Walden! Please come and help us plan how POP is going to do that, we well as support the other progressive candidates who are running for office. We will also be discussing Jamie McLeod-Skinner's upcoming visit to The Dales the following week on June 19! More on that very soon.

Voter turn out is low so far in Wasco County and that is not a good sign for making changes. Please remind yourself, friends and family to drop off ballots as there is only 4 more days left in the county commission race and the race to determine who will oppose Walden.
Thank you.
