Where's Walden Letter to the Editor

In case anyone missed it, Oregon District 2 Representative Greg Walden is telling everyone near and far that he is the champion making a difference in the opioid crisis. However, if Greg Walden and the current administration have their way, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will be destroyed and 134,500 constituents in Oregon District 2 will be at risk of losing their health care. How will that affect the opioid crisis?

NORCOR Lawsuit hearing July 11th

July 11 is the next hearing in Wasco County Circuit Court on the taxpayer lawsuit against NORCOR, at 9:00 AM in Wasco Co. Courthouse room 202. Plaintiffs want as many people as possible to attend the hearing, to witness the arguments. We advise everyone to maintain proper courtroom manners for this hearing.

It is expected that Judge John Wolf will hear several competing motions from attorneys on both sides. The eventual ruling is potentially very significant for the State of Oregon’s sanctuary law.

Repeal Oregon's Sanctuary Law largely funded by two hate groups

We received a ballot in the mail today about the effort to Repeal Oregon's Sanctuary Law. I wondered where the funding for this effort is coming from and found this information:

"The repeal group’s funding has also drawn scrutiny. According to state records, nearly all of the roughly $131,000 raised by the committee behind the initiative came from a pair of groups: Oregonians for Immigration Reform and the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
