If you’re feeling frustrated by Republicans’ unapologetic dismissal of the Articles of Impeachment against Donald Trump, it’s time to work out some of that frustration. Swing Left, a national progressive group, has initiated a massive letters-to-voters campaign that we can all help with.

There are 2 nearby letter writing parties coming up:
Monday Feb 3 at the White Salmon Public library at 6:30-8:30pm
Wednesday Feb 12 from 9:30-11:30am at Dog River Cafe in Hood River at 411 Oak St

Our new State Senator and the Climate Bill

Hello Indivisblers, We have a new state Senator, Lynn Findley, elected last week by county commissioners. We also have an upcoming short legislative session in which a climate bill is likely to be introduced and for which a Republican walkout is again being threatened and considered fairly likely. As a constituent of the new senator, please send him a nice and friendly email at Sen.LynnFindley@oregonlegislature.gov telling him what you think of such a walkout and of the importance of a climate bill.

No War With Iran rally in Hood River Thursday

SHORT NOTICE from Indivisible National - Nat'l Day of Action tomorrow Thurs, Jan 9 - NO WAR WITH IRAN rallies across the country. In the Gorge you can join a rally in Hood River from 4:30 - 5:30 at the fish fountain on 2nd and State Streets. Bring signs, make some noise!
A robust and continuous response from the public is needed to head off war with Iran. Threat is escalating. Trump admin is furthering the warmongering.

Hold the Date: Feb 11 - Climate Action

Renew Oregon, the main group lobbying for a strong Climate bill in Oregon, is planning a major event in Salem on Feb. 11. Detail TBA. Presumably we can do something here for those who can't travel, but I would be interested to know who might be willing to share rides to Salem, or maybe we can combine with HR and get a bus? Republicans are already talking about another walkout, so we gotta show what we think. Please make this a priority and watch for more details coming soon.

Support Swing district Dems who voted for Impeachment!

36 frontline Democrats who flipped GOP seats last year just voted to impeach Trump. The only reason Trump is being held accountable is because we built the largest midterm margins in the history of the republic, and we elected dozens of new Democratic members who voted on Wednesday to impeach the president.

Last Chance to Call Walden to Vote for Impeachment

The House will vote tomorrow so it's never been more important to flood Walden's offices with calls and emails, urging him to vote to Impeach the most corrupt president in history.
(202) 225-6730 Washington DC office or (541) 389-4408 Bend office
Email - Representative.Greg.Walden@mail.house.gov
And don't forget tonight: 5pm tonight at the Post Office for "Impeach and Remove" rally, and right after the rally (about 6:30) at the Murray's for our POP Holiday Party.
