Hi Folks. Yesterday we learned that Trump won't even allow Bahamians whose entire lives have just been devastated by Hurricane Dorian into the US without a visa. Last week we learned that Trump was deporting children and adults in the US for life-saving medical care. And families are still separated at the border. Today's #DefundHate action is to get ourselves more informed. Hi Poppers! Indivisible has joined with a number of other national organizations to defend the human rights of immigrants. Next week is the National Week of Action for #DefundHate. We have several things going on in the Gorge and Portland during the week and we hope you'll participate in one or more of them. Below is a summary of what the #DefundHate movement is about, followed by a summary of the week's activities happening in our area. Hi Folks. If anyone would like to carpool to Walden's Town Hall at 9:30am in Tygh Valley tomorrow, please contact Debi Ferrer at 541-980-2047 or debiferrer@gmail.com. We're planning to be on the road by 8:30, so would want to meet up a bit earlier to carpool. The more the merrier! There will be some Indivisibles from South Wasco County and also from Jefferson County joining us. 'Hope you can make it!

Fellow POPPERS, it's time to speak up for climate legislation, and speak out against the anti-democratic behavior of Senator Bentz and fellow Republicans who walked out during this past legislative session to prevent a quorum and thus prevent a vote on many important bills.
