Greetings Fellow Poppers. Here are a few reminders about some things coming up. Be sure to click on "Read more" to see this message in its entirety.

There will be no meeting in November due to Thanksgiving week. And due to Christmas, we are moving our December meeting to Tuesday Dec 17, 6 pm at the home of Steve and Karen Murray for a Holiday Party (and maybe an Impeachment Party by then!)

Speaking of impeachment, POP is planning to join cities across the nation by holding a "Nobody is above the Law" rally the night before the House votes on articles of impeachment. We don't know exactly when that will be so to make sure you are in the loop, please go to to sign up to get the latest updates. Pass this link on to your friends. We want to have a huuuuuge turnout in honor of the Dems in Congress who are doing their constitutional duty.

We still have room for a couple more POP members to attend the statewide gathering in Eugene the weekend of Dec 6-8. Please contact Debi if you are interested. ( Financial assistance for the hotel is available.

Our own Senator Jeff Merkley was part of a Senate investgation into the Trump Administration's policies on asylum that produced a report called "Shattered Refuge." For those concerned about Trump's war on asylum seekers, this is a must-read. Here's a link to find it online.

Don't forget to make some calls or write some emails to our Members of Congress whenever you can. If you want ideas for what to say, go to where you can find a topic for every day of the week, with script ideas and background information. Very valuable!

Every day, there are new and damaging revelations about Trump's actions. I'm sure none of you are surprised. It's why we all joined POP in the first place. We knew this man would be a danger to our democracy. I would just like to take this moment to thank you all for everything you have done that helped to get us to this point. Indivisible has certainly played a big role in demanding accountability from Congress and from the president. But it's not over yet. We need to continue our work, now more than ever!
